PROPOSED SAG DEAL SPLITS HOLLYWOOD!
High-profile actors are picking sides in the increasingly bitter struggle to ratify the Screen Actors Guild's proposed new contract. "I'm still amazed and shocked at the level of vitriol among the opponents of this deal," said Melissa Gilbert, who served as president from 2001-05. "There's no room for dissent." While former SAG president Ed Asner compared the possible deal to the Holocaust during a closed-door meeting, Martin Sheen joined John Heard, Nichelle Nichols, board member Elliott Gould, and secretary-treasurer Connie Stevens in a "vote no" video posted online. Opponents of the proposal have criticized its new-media rates and the fact that it gives SAG no jurisdiction over original new-media works that cost less than $15,000 per minute, $300,000 per production, and $500,000 per series. SAG's 110,000 members received ballots on the deal last week, and must return them by June 9. The group's national board approved the proposed contract at 53 percent in April, ten months after the last deal expired. If it's voted down, SAG must ask members for a strike authorization vote, which would require 75 percent approval. SAG estimates actors have lost $85 million in pay increases already by holding out for a better deal. While they are negotiating...I say get rid of Reality TV!

It's a shame that SAG and the studios cannot come to an agreement with this contract. Alot of people lost jobs in the last 2 years and a lot more jobs are in jeopardy - in the coming months. This not only affects actors, but it affects crew members, transportation companies, catering companies, and a lot of vendors. This especially affects those in the business who don't have those multi-million dollar salaries or contracts that they can live on. Each day that productions are put on hold - dreams, homes and lives are lost.

QUWEEN: THE PAPARAZZI PROTECTOR
If you live in LA you may have seen Quween (the homeless lady) on the streets of Beverly Hills protecting the celebs from all of the photogs and paparazzi harassment. She's a fixture on Bedford Drive that has been featured on TMZ and Hollywood TV. Well Quween is on the come up. (Although, she has made a few dollars from the celebs that come through Bev Hills that donate a dollar or few), Quween has gone global. She's made a video with Idol winner - Katherine McPhee. I hope they paid her more than minimum wage for this and knowing Quween, I'm sure she got her check. What will Funny or Die come up with next!

R&B Group Electrik Red hosted a private dinner in NY.
A few celebs came out to dine with the ladies. They are the musical protégées of producer and songwriter, The Dream - Christina Milian's boo!
The dinner was attended by LA Reid, Mary J. Blige and husband Kendu Isaacs, Queen Latifah and of course Dream and Christina.

ANOTHER REALITY SHOW FOR JESSICA SIMPSON?
According to a report in Us magazine, the singer — who endured serious criticism for donning some unflattering mom jeans earlier this year — may be soon starring in a reality series about the beauty issues women face in society. “The Price of Beauty,” as the show may be potentially called, would center around Simpson and a friend on a trip around the world to explore different beauty standards.
I can see Jessica doing this reality show. I remember seeing some footage of her talking about weight issues when she first started out in Entertainment. Record Execs at the time thought she was too heavy (at a size 2). They wanted her to lose weight and look like all the other blonde hair size 0's. I like the weight on Jessica. I think she looks great the way she is. As Kim K would say, "Embrace your curves girl."

Chris Brown wants his fans to know that he has a new album coming out "Grafitti" and "he ain't a monster" echoed by Bow-Wow's 2cents - "believe that".
There is no sense in hiding in the house. You have to eventually get out and go to work. So good for him! I would like to see him do something productive in the community. Maybe after his court date he may visit some homeless shelters, feed the needy, sit in on some abuse counseling sessions - something. Haters will always be haters, however Chris - those of us who believe some mistakes can be fixed or mended would like to see your social awareness and philanthropic side emerge.
