Actress Frances Reid, best known for her role on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives," died on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was 95. Reid played matriarch Alice Horton on the long-running NBC show from the first episode in 1965 until her retirement in 2007. She was awarded a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. In addition to her other TV work, she appeared in such notable feature films as "Seconds" and "The Andromeda Strain."
