IT'S A BOY!

Oscar and Grammy Winner, Jennifer Hudson gave birth to a baby boy, David Daniel Otunga, Jr., on Monday, her publicist confirmed. The baby is named after the singer's fiance and weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
"The baby is beautiful and perfect," Hudson's rep said in a statement. "His parents are ecstatic."
Hudson did not publicly announce her pregnancy. Rumors began to circulate that she was expecting earlier this year when she appeared to be showing on her inaugural tour of the U.S.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the proud parents did not find out the sex of the baby in advance, so they were prepared with pink and blue clothes just in case. Hudson reportedly prepared for the birth with a baby shower in her native Chicago in May. Hudson appeared visibly pregnant last month when she performed at the memorial service for Michael Jackson.
A possible reason for the silence, the Reporter speculated, was partially due to a desire for privacy, but also perhaps superstition in the wake of the family tragedy she suffered in October, when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago. The child was reportedly conceived a short time after the murders.
The estranged husband of Hudson's sister, William Balfour, has been charged in the murders and is awaiting trial.

Eight Months Pregnant, Jennifer Hudson grabbed a bite to eat with fiancé David Otunga aka Professional Wrestler - Dawson Alexander Esq (the D.A). The couple have been in staying Florida while David vamps up his new career. He recently made his debut in the developmental WWE sanctioned organization - Florida Championship Wrestling where he fought Troy Jackson and won.

If he looks familiar - he should. Dawson Alexander Esq (the D.A.)AKA David Otunga is the fiance of the lovely Jennifer Hudson. David made his wrestling debut for the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) promotion, a developmental territory for the WWE. David/Dawson fought against fellow FCW wrestler Troy Jackson and won.

Jennifer Hudson and Fiance David Otunga were snapped up over the weekend. (It looks like her and David are flossing after a meal). Not the best picture moment, but you can definitely see her cute baby bump. Jennifer is supposedly 7-months pregnant. No word if it's a boy or a girl. Her publicist recently denied that Jennifer was expecting. We clearly see - that was not the truth?

IS JENNIFER HUDSON PREGNANT?

So I've been reading about this rumored pregnancy for weeks now and this just came out from the Chicago Tribune about Jennifer's baby bump and baby shower.

A weekend baby shower in downtown Chicago confirmed what has long been rumored: Jennifer Hudson is pregnant.

“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family,” singer/actress Felicia Fields, a longtime Hudson friend, said of Saturday’s get-together in a relative’s home. “They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet.”

South Side native Hudson, the 27-year-old singing star who won the 2006 best supporting actress Oscar for “Dreamgirls,” is engaged to former reality TV star David Otunga, who’s currently pursuing a pro wrestling career. Hudson has said she no longer would live in Chicago after her mother, Darnell Donerson, brother Jason and nephew Julian King were found murdered in October, with William Balfour, the estranged husband of Jennifer’s sister Julia, charged with the crimes.

Hudson recently finished a co-headlining concert tour with singer Robin Thicke, with an April 25 show at the Arie Crown Theatre. Her manager and publicist previously denied that she is pregnant.

"It was a nice time that we had," Fields said of the shower. She didn’t want to get into when the baby is due, but speculation is that Hudson is many months along—an impression bolstered by her appearance of late.

As for whether Hudson received blue or pink gifts, Fields said, “They don’t know [the gender]. More yellow.”
