GABRIELLE UNION TAKES A VOW FOR CABLE TV

The beautiful and talented Gabrielle Union is set to produce and star in "The Vow" for Lifetime. The film is based on the 2005 novel by Denene Millner, Angela Burt-Murray and Mitzi Miller. . Screenwriter, Nzingha Stewart is adapting "The Vow" for television; Tracey Edmonds and Sheila Ducksworth will exec produce along with Gabby.

In this runaway hit novel, three best friends come together for their sorority sister's glitzy wedding in Atlanta and make a vow to get married within one year. As they embark on their search to find their soul mates, they navigate the full-contact sport known as being a SSBFLA (successful, single, black, female in L.A.) and negotiate the shark-infested waters of making a name for themselves professionally in Hollywood.

ATL HOUSEWIFE WILL BE FEATURED ON THE COVER OF "O" MAG

Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, Nene Leakes will be featured on the September issue of O Magazine. Yes, Oprah's mag! Nene tells S2S that she was contacted by O's LA office to do the cover along with another favorite reality star, Kim Kardashian.

"They asked for reality stars that had become a household name, and I was one of the young ladies that they chose. It was a great honor for them to fly me up to Los Angeles and pamper me for the day.

I can't wait to see the cover and if Oprah will do a show on the reality stars who are quickly becoming household names.

Congrats to you Ms. Leakes.

IT'S OFFICIAL!

According to the AP — R&B singer Usher filed for divorce Friday (right before closing time) from Tameka Foster Raymond in Fulton County, Atlanta today, less than two years after their high profile wedding at a Georgia resort.

The Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, filed the petition in Superior Court in Atlanta. Records posted to the court's Web site did not give any details about the split between the R&B star and his wife, who were married in August 2007.

They have two young sons, 1 1/2-year-old Usher Raymond V and 6-month-old Naviyd Ely Raymond. His wife has three children from a previous marriage.

E-mail and telephone messages to Usher's publicist were not immediately returned.

The hearing will take place on July 15 in front of Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane at 2:30PM / EST.

USHER'S SWAG

A new track has leaked and the rumors are on full blast. Usher and wife of 2 years, Tameka Raymond are supposedly getting a divorce. All the blogs and even entertainment sites are reporting that the two are over. No official word has come out of either camp and the papers (divorce) were allegedly file yesterday. However, The Atlanta courts claim that there are no such papers. Now since Usher is spending a lot of time in LA and Malibu, maybe he is pulling a Whitney...establish residence in LA that way you can end the marriage in 6 months.
This story is getting more crazier by the minute. Bloggers are on high alert..waiting for the papers to be filed so they can talk trash about his wife. I don't understand why so many people are happy that another family is breaking up.
