JACKSON FAMILY THANKSGIVING
Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the Jackson family and his large brood of grandkids, including both Michael Jackson’s children, MJ's alleged fourth child - Michael Omer Bhatti and Jermaine’s, took a caravan to Las Vegas for the holiday weekend.
The kids all looked to be happy and enjoying their time with their grandfather despite this being the first holiday spent without their father Michael. MJ's three children Prince, Paris and Blanket were not joined by their caretaker and grandmother Katherine Jackson. Katherine Jackson does not celebrate holidays because of her religion as she is a Jehovah's Witness, but the Jackson brothers, sisters, and their children do traditionally gather for one day, Thanksgiving, said by Tito Jackson in a recent interview.

JENNIFER HUDSON TO STAR IN WINNIE MANDELA BIOPIC
Jennifer Hudson is set to star in “Winnie,” a drama that casts her as the former wife of South Africa’s first black president, Nelson Mandela.
Hudson will play Winnie Mandela in a film that begins production May 30 in the South African locations of Johannesburg, Capt Town, Transkei and Robben Island, where the future president spent 18 of his 27 years in prison.
“Winnie” will be directed by Darrell J. Roodt, the veteran South African filmmaker whose 2006 film “Yesterday” was Africa’s Best Foreign Film nominee, and who also directed “Cry, The Beloved Country,” and “Sarafina!”
Andre Pieterse, Roodt and Paul L. Johnson wrote a script based on the Anne Marie du Preez Bezdrob biography “Winnie Mandela:A Life.” Picture is being made with South African and Canadian money, with Pieterse producing with Michael Mosca of Canada’s Equinoxe Films.
While Nelson Mandela — who’ll be played by Morgan Freeman in the Clint Eastwood-directed “Invictus” — is a universally sympathetic figure for his struggle against apartheid, his former wife is a far more complicated figure. She has been depicted as the mother and wife who was a steadfast supporter of her activist husband and who was jailed herself for campaigning for his release and fighting against apartheid. Her image was subsequently tarnished by association with a bodyguard who murdered a 14-year old alleged informer, and she was later convicted of fraud.
The filmmakers will tell the whole story, good and bad.
“I was compelled and moved when I read the script,” Hudson said. “Winnie Mandela is a complex and extraordinary woman and I’m honored to be the actress asked to portray her. This is a powerful part of history that should be told.”
Hudson, who is expected to sing the film’s theme song, won the Oscar for her screen debut in “Dreamgirls’ and followed with “The Secret Life of Bees” and “Sex in the City.”

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS AIRBRUSH BLACK COUPLE OUT OF POSTER
Is Universal racist by changing movie poster? The studio changed "Couples Retreat" marketing material for the film's UK release, and removed both the black actors name and photos from the poster.
The film, which features four couples who go on vacation together, costars Faizon Love as a divorced man who takes his new girlfriend along, played by Kali Hawk were both removed to market internationally. Couples Retreat has raked in $99.3 million dollars for the studio.
Mail on Sunday film critic Jason Solomons said: ‘We don’t cater much for the black cinema-going audience in this country, which is a great shame, so it seems strange that when there are black stars in a major feature film this fact isn’t promoted. And, in terms of business decisions, this seems a pretty counter-productive one.’
The Mail on Sunday got this response from the studio:
The studio said it regretted causing offence and has abandoned plans to use the revised poster in other countries... A Universal spokesman said the revised advert aimed 'to simplify the poster to actors who are most recognisable in international markets'.
Vivienne Pattison, director of Mediawatch-UK, said: ‘I think this was an ill-conceived move. We celebrate diversity in Britain and we could have coped with seeing the same poster used in America.’
So the UK copes with blacks - really!

COMEDIAN KATT WILLIAMS' 911 CALL
Katt Williams will not be charged in the incident involving a 17-year-old boy, a Georgia sheriff's deputy confirmed on Tuesday.
The unidentified boy called 911, claiming Williams was holding him against his will at the Newnan estate where Williams is staying while in town filming a movie about Barack Obama. The 38-year-old actor and television personality was arrested there Sunday night after the estate's caretaker, Daniel Broach, claimed Williams broke into his home and stole nearly $4,000 worth of jewelry and collectible coins.
The teen's allegations weren't nearly as specific. Coweta Sheriff's Office Maj. Mike Kinsey said the deputy who responded to last Tuesday's 911 call wasn't able to substantiate any of the boy's claims.
"It seems there was nothing going on," Kinsey said.

THE HONEYMOON IS OVER!
Jennifer Lopez has been granted a temporary restraining order preventing her former husband, Ojani Noa, from marketing a sexy home video of the couple from their 11-month marriage.
Noa, 35, was in California Superior Court without a lawyer on Tuesday and claimed after Judge James C. Chalfant's ruling it was never his intention to sell the private camcorder footage. He said it was his intention to produce a Borat-style mocumentary about himself as a Cuban immigrant.
"She is destroying my life," Noa, vowing the videos were non-sexual and not for sale, told New York's Daily News immediately after the hearing. "This is another proof of her power and money trying to stop me from moving on with my life."
Ojani also said, "I'm not making any money from these videos," he said. "This is about having a closure. It's my story."
As described in reports, the video, called How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story, reputedly includes 1997 footage of Lopez, now 40, wearing skimpy clothing and supposedly being spanked by Noa. It reportedly also contains a fight between her and her mother.
Is this Ojani way of profitting off of his 11-month marriage to Jen? You be the judge!
