LA BLOGGERS SCREENING TAVIS SMILEY'S "STAND" PART 1

Tavis Smiley reached out to a group of Los Angeles based bloggers including yours truly, and hosted a special screening of "STAND" at his home.

The film highlights Tavis and his friends revisiting and reexamining the historic role of black men in our society. It includes appearances by Cornell West, Dick Gregory, Michael Eric Dyson, Bebe Winans and Wren Brown. The "soul patrol" journeys through Memphis and visits historic places such as: Stax Records and the Lorraine Motel, the site of the Martin Luther King assassination.
