A PRINCE IN NEW YORK

Britain's Prince Harry's first-ever official visit to the States (New York) on behalf of the royal family. Harry, 24, and his elder brother, William, only this year were granted their own royal household, their own staff, an office at St. James's Palace, and their own ciphers, as they now begin to fulfill their official duties separate and apart from their father, Prince Charles. This was Harry's first overseas trip in that new capacity -- even though he is still only a part-time royal who has a full-time job as a lieutenant in the British army. The real purpose of the trip comes Saturday, when Harry is scheduled to play in a charity polomatch sponsored by Veuve Clicquot champagne.

Britain's Prince Harry spends a moment with 4-year-old Madison Murphy at Ground Zero. Madison's mom, Monica Iken, lost her husband, Michael, on Sept. 11, 2001.
