According to janetcharltonshollywood.com the sudden death of David Carradine in a Thailand hotel is pointing to auto-erotic asphyxiation, NOT suicide. This is a kinky sex act in which a person cuts off his oxygen supply (in his case with a rope around the neck) in order to gain sexual gratification. The decreased oxygen to the brain causes euphoria and can enhance the sex act. It can be done alone or with a partner, but is obviously very risky. Since Carradine was found naked with rope tied around his neck AND his penis, suicide is not likely. His manager declared the death "accidental" without further comment.
