WHOSE GOT NEXT!

We couldn't get enough of him as Lem on the Award winning series "Soul Food" and now the Sexy and Charismatic, Darrin Dewitt Henson is giving us more with 4 films - all coming out this year!

Actor/dancer/choreographer Darrin Dewitt Henson has been on a roll lately, with an exceptional performance as football legend Jim Brown in the Universal picture The Express, Henson is following this exceptional performance with four upcoming motion pictures for 2009.

In summer 2009, Henson will co-star in The Hustle (early May) for Fox Faith Pictures. Tyler Perry and Ruben Cannon have recently come on as consulting producers of the film that also stars Charlie Murphy, Tamala Jones, John Witherspoon and Bai Ling in a comedy about a disenchanted pest sprayer and single dad (Murphy) who is always trying to hustle a tiny bit more from his disappointing life when he suffers a series of setbacks that puts him in the unlikely position of his biggest hustle yet. In the film Henson plays “Brother Efrom.”

Second, Henson will play a lead role in Blood Done Sign My Name (late 2009) that tells the true story of the 1970 murder of Henry Marrow in a rural North Carolina town by Robert Teel (Nick Searcy) and his sons, the aftermath of the murder and the eventual acquittal of the Teels by an all white jury, in spite of multiple eye witnesses to the murder. The film also stars Rick Schroder, Nate Parker and Omar Benson Miller.

Third is the much anticipated live action film Tekken (October 2009), which is an adaptation of the most popular video game series in the world! The film is a high-octane action movie about a young man who discovers he holds a great power and must battle a team of elite fighters who will stop at nothing in order to get it from him. Henson will play the extremely popular character of “Ravan.” The film also stars Luke Goss, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and John Foo and is directed by TV director Dwight H. Little (“Bones,” “Prison Break,” etc).

Finally, in late 2009 Henson will venture into the horror genre with a lead role in the thriller My Place in the Horror (TBD 2009). The film also stars D.B. Woodside, Rochelle Aytes and Golden Brooks and follows a family who is bought together by a group of elders to continue a long ago promised ritual that the virgin in each generation must be sacrificed. The elders bring 5 families together and only one family will survive this game of cat and mouse horror.

He is definitely on a roll. Move over Denzel, Don Cheadle and the rest - Darrin is making his way to the top!
